Our Story
Welcome! My name is Milane and I’m the Chief Treasure Hunter here at Love, Laney.
For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping others build their dream businesses as a freelance marketing professional, and while I still do this 9-5, I accidentally created my own passion project in 2024 as a thrifter’s high took hold… One minute I was buying a teapot, the next I had a website.
Love, Laney is the happy accident of my combined passions: thrifting, gifting, sustainability, and giving back. I find one-of-a-kind gifts, celebrated for their age, individuality, or unrealised potential, and every order you place has a positive impact!
I’ve always believed that the best gifts are the ones you’re not looking for - the ones that find you when you least expect it - and that’s the magic I aim to create with Love, Laney.
Whether it’s a thank you, house warming, or just because gift, every item has been hand-picked with heart and nostalgia.
My love for pretty and peculiar things started when I was a little girl, mesmerised by the display cabinet in my grandparents’ living room. It was filled with porcelain figurines and shiny trinkets - for admiring, but rarely touching.
So I’d gather pincushions and used postcards from around the house to play shops with my grandparents instead. We used a neatly stocked three-tiered step ladder, and traded treasures for pennies… A metallic scent fondly etched in my memory.
Those childhood moments sparked a lifelong love of collecting and curating, which today looks less like a step ladder, and more like an Etsy store.
So relax, pour a cuppa and get ready to discover some weird and wonderful yet surprisingly functional finds, lovingly hand-picked from travels and troves across Melbourne and beyond.
Thank you for supporting my teeny business!

Believed to be Duncan Enterprises, this pair of iridescent ceramic tulip goblets features a soft ivory pearl glaze with a subtle rainbow lustre. Their sculptural tulip shape and pedestal base are classic late 1970s to early 1980s design, making them just as lovely on display as they are in use.
Perfect for serving wine, cocktails or decadent desserts, they're equally suited to a vintage bar cart, open shelving or a beautifully styled wedding table. While the original maker's label is no longer present, the attribution to Duncan Enterprises is based on their distinctive design, ceramic construction and characteristic pearlescent glaze.
Founded in 1946 by Erma Duncan in her Fresno, California garage, Duncan Enterprises grew from a local ceramic studio and glaze manufacturer into a global leader in ceramic arts, supplying hobbyists, studios and major retailers over four generations.
A rare set you'll reach for whenever the occasion calls for something a little more spesh.

This vintage glass shell bowl captures the romance of the sea in sculptural form. Pressed from heavy clear glass with beautifully textured ribbing that catches and scatters the light, it rests on three integrated feet for a perfectly balanced base.
While flat shell plates are wonderfully abundant in the vintage world, large footed shell bowls of this size and depth are harder to come by.
This piece is likely European in origin, dating to the late 1970s or 1980s. While unmarked, it shares many characteristics with pressed glass produced by makers such as Walther Glass in Germany or similar Italian and French manufacturers of the era.
Perfect as a fruit, salad or seafood bowl, it also makes a wonderful catchall on an entry console for keys and sunglasses. For the entertainers, fill it with citrus, oysters on ice, or floating candles for effortless coastal styling.
Its clear glass glows beautifully in natural light, capturing the rippled texture of sparkling waves. Whether your style leans Palm Beach or Hollywood Regency, this is one of those pieces that slips effortlessly into a home as though it was always there.

A statement piece from another era, this oversized amber glass bowl is estimated to date from the 1960s–1980s and features an intricate pressed floral and sunburst pattern.
The warm honey-toned glass catches the light beautifully and feels equally at home filled with fruit on a kitchen bench or displayed empty as a centrepiece.
Likely of European or North American origin, its generous 37cm size suggests it was originally designed as a shallow serving bowl or decorative table piece.
Decades later, it still has plenty of life left to give ✨

A statement piece with coastal charm, this vintage amber glass bowl is formed in a striking shell silhouette, complete with playful prawn and crab detailing.
Crafted from thick, sturdy pressed glass, the sculptural clam design has a beautiful weight and golden warmth, likely produced in the mid-20th century from the 1950s to 1970s, when pressed glass designs embraced bold textures and decorative forms.
The fan-like symmetry and stylised patterning also nod to earlier Art Deco influences, where geometric repetition and nature-inspired motifs were widely explored in pressed glass design during the 1930s.
Whether styled as a centrepiece, fruit bowl or seafood serving dish, it suits both retro interiors and coastal or beach-inspired homes with ease.

This set of four porcelain place cards shaped like miniature baskets and finished with softly raised floral details was likely made between the 1940s and 1960s, when beautifully styled table settings and personalised place cards were a staple of celebrations and dinner parties. Their creamy glazed porcelain and gentle pastel colouring give them that unmistakable mid-century charm.
Each piece has a glazed surface that allows you to write directly onto it. Simply use a chalk marker or whiteboard-style dry erase marker to add guest names, menu notes or table numbers. When your event is finished, wipe clean with a soft damp cloth and they are ready to be used again.
Perfect for bridal showers, weddings, baby showers, high teas, birthday lunches, and intimate dinner parties, they also work beautifully for buffet or grazing tables, dessert displays, or gift tables where you might want to label dishes or share little notes with guests.
When they’re not being used for hosting, they double as charming decorative pieces styled on open shelving, in a china cabinet, or as part of a seasonal table setting.

This vintage chip and dip serving platter is crafted in earthy stoneware with an oval form, featuring an integrated dip bowl and softly mottled glaze in warm clay, oat and ash tones. Subtle brushwork and pooling in the glaze give it a painterly, almost abstract quality, framed by a darker rim.
Based on the glaze style, form and overall finish, this piece is likely to date from the late 1970s to early 1990s, a period when studio pottery and handmade stoneware were especially popular for everyday serving ware.
Perfect for chips and dip, crudités, olives, or bread and oils, it also works beautifully as a grazing platter. The integrated bowl keeps things tidy and makes it ideal for entertaining without extra dishes cluttering the table.
Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or devouring guac in your trackies, this nostalgic piece brings yesteryear’s memories to today’s table.

This ornate vintage fruit bowl features a classic floral design with pale pink Briar roses and buds set against a warm cream ceramic base. The gently scalloped rim is finished with an embossed rope-style swirl pattern, adding subtle texture without overpowering the piece.
Four evenly spaced sprays of dusty pink roses and soft sage-green foliage give the bowl a balanced look that suits cottagecore, traditional English and shabby chic interiors. Likely made in the late 1990s to early 2000s by the same maker of this Ornate Floral Vase, it reflects the enduring appeal of decorative tableware from this period.
Wonderfully versatile, it works well as a fruit bowl, pasta bowl or salad serving dish, or as a decorative centrepiece on a kitchen island, dining table or sideboard. A practical piece with vintage character that styles easily into everyday spaces.
